A Must For any Chikorita Fan (2010-05-22)
I looked at many options for a Chikorita plush but this one looked like the best (and cheaply priced). When I finally made the decision to buy, I wasn't sure if this was the right Pokemon plush I wanted (since I feel like I need to feel the softness and how big it is).
I got Chikorita very fast even before the estimated arrival time (which is great because I don't like waiting for shipments that are slow). Chikorita was packaged nicely in a bubble wrap package. The tag was on her and she look very nice like she hadn't even been touched. She is about 6 inches in height and if you count the leaf on her head than she is about 10 inches in height (the leaf on her head doesn't stand up, which I like better).
I looked on her tag and she is copyrighted Pokemon, Nintendo which means she is probably not a fake Pokemon plush (be careful there are Pokemon fakes that are going around maybe not with as much as Pokemon plush but with Pokemon video games, cards, and other Pokemon merchandise).
When I finally saw her I was so happy, she is so cute and looks very realistic like she was taken out of the cartoons, video games, and pokedex, into a real 3-D Chikorita. I am glad I made this choice, she is what I was looking for (A realistic Chikorita for a big Pokemon fan). The plush was great and so was the service.

Regardless of what you think of Chikorita as a Pokemon, you can't deny that the little guy is adorable. And it's about time that we got a good plush of him here in the US, as part of the Johto Region line. It was just him and Cyndaquil left in the box, so of course I picked them up. Chiko rocks, and looks exactly as he does in the stock picture.
Chikorita is a bright green, with excellent stitched eyes and mouth. He can stand up on his own, and isn't overstuffed in any part of his body to throw off the appearance. This basically looks like they took Chiko out of the game and turned him into a 3D objects- I have zero problems with how he looks. Even if I did have something bad to say, one look at that cute little face would make me feel guilty immediately. But the only thing that might bug other people who demand things arrive as shown is that the leaf on its head doesn't stand straight up. There's no wire in it, so it'll be bent back or forward a little most of the time. 'no big deal at all, and it looks better with the leaf bent back.
I really do love this guy, and am glad I picked one up. I hope Jakks continues this quality with the next series, so we can finally get a plush Miltank!
